Iacob Rosu occupies the mid-range of Davino's portfolio, yet its quality allows it to compete confidently with many top-tier wines from other producers. The blend consists primarily of approximately 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Feteasca Neagra - two varieties that reveal remarkable finesse, structure and versatility in Dealu Mare.
Its combination of complexity and accessibility makes Iacob Rosu a versatile wine for a wide range of occasions, from informal gatherings to refined dinners. The two grape varieties are vinified separately using classical methods. Feteasca Neagra ferments for 15 days in 150 hl stainless steel tanks at 24-26Β°C, while Cabernet Sauvignon undergoes a longer fermentation of 21-27 days, allowing its full-bodied and complex character to develop.
Intense, complex and persistent, with characteristic aromas of candied fruit, refined oak notes and subtle nuances of coffee.
Broad and firm, with a balanced and harmonious structure. The wine combines power with finesse and develops across the palate towards a long, persistent finish.
