Viile Metamorfosis Winery
Established in 2009, Viile Metamorfosis gained prominence when the prestigious Italian group Marchesi Antinori, a name synonymous with excellence in winemaking, invested in its future. From the outset, Viile Metamorfosis embraced organic viticulture, becoming one of Romania’s pioneers in certified organic winemaking. With 67 hectares currently in full production and additional plantings maturing, Viile Metamorfosis cultivates a balance between indigenous Romanian grape varieties and noble international ones, carefully chosen to thrive in the region’s ideal climate and soil composition.
At the heart of Viile Metamorfosis is Fiorenzo Rista, an esteemed Italian winemaker with over 39 harvests to his name, 23 of them in Romania. His deep understanding of Romanian terroir, paired with his Italian heritage, brings a unique signature to every bottle, ensuring that Viile Metamorfosis stands as a benchmark for Dealu Mare wines on the global stage.
