Positioned as a mid-range offering, the Iacob Roșu competes fiercely with many top-tier wines from other producers, offering an exceptional quality that belies its standing. This wine is a harmonious blend, primarily consisting of approximately 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the remainder being Feteasca Neagra, showcasing the finesse and adaptability of these varietals when cultivated under Davino's expert care.

The blend’s complexity and accessibility make it an ideal companion for a broad range of occasions and culinary pairings, from casual gatherings to more intimate dinner settings. The grapes for Iacob Roșu are vinified separately, adhering to a classical fermentation technology. The Feteasca Neagra undergoes a 15-day fermentation process in 150 Hl stainless steel tanks at temperatures ranging between 24–26°C. In contrast, the Cabernet Sauvignon is allowed a slightly longer fermentation period of 21–27 days, ensuring the development of its full-bodied and complex character. This meticulous process contributes to the wine's distinctive profile.
