Villa Vinea Winery
VILLA VINEA winery cultivates 70 hectares of vineyards planted with 12 local and international grape varieties. The impressive terroir, production methods, and passion make the wines from Tarnave at Villa Vinèa highly appreciated for their quality, flavor, and minerality. The story of Villa Vinèa began in 2004 when Heiner Oberrauch discovered a beautiful and promising location for quality wines in the midst of Transylvania, near the town of Targu-Mures. "I instantly fell in love with this area, and to this day, I remember the first time I looked at it: the charming landscape along the Tarnava Mica River bathed in delicate light, with hills reminiscent of Tuscany. I decided it would be my home, to start a vineyard and create unique wines with a special character, memorable for those who taste them." This blend of local and international experiences characterized the collaboration between the two winemakers – Celestino Lucin, declared Winemaker of the Year 2009 in Italy by the renowned Gambero Rosso magazine – and Denes Mihaly, born and dedicated to the vineyards of Tarnave.
