Budureasca Winery
Located between the Teleajen and Buzau rivers, Budureasca Winery benefits from an exceptional terroir, where rolling hills and picturesque valleys rise between 175 and 400 meters in altitude. The region’s unique combination of abundant sunshine, fertile chernozem and limestone soils, and a temperate-continental climate, enhanced by Mediterranean breezes, creates ideal conditions for cultivating both deep, expressive red grapes and refined, aromatic white varieties.
Established in 2013, the state-of-the-art Budureasca Winery was designed to optimize both efficiency and quality, with part of the facility built underground to ensure superior thermal control. With a production capacity of approximately 3 million liters, the winery also offers elegant tasting areas with breathtaking panoramic views, providing visitors with an immersive experience into the world of fine Romanian wines.
Under the expertise of internationally acclaimed oenologist Stephen Donnelly, known as the “Flying Winemaker”, Budureasca has gained global recognition, winning over 300 international medals. Every bottle reflects the winery’s commitment to excellence, crafting wines that not only honor the rich heritage of the region but also set new standards for Romanian viticulture on the global stage.
