Nestled in the western region of Romania, Crama Balla Geza bears the name of its dedicated owner. Situated within the picturesque Minis-Maderat vineyard, the winery is surrounded by captivating hills adorned with sprawling vineyards. Despite the challenging terrain, characterized by steep slopes, the vineyards thrive under the attentive care of the winemaking team. The unique location, perched at altitudes exceeding 400 meters, contributes to the distinctive character of the wines. The soil, rich in limestone schists, imparts a special quality to the grapevines, almost as if they are rooted in the rocky landscape itself. It is in this terroir that the winery's prestigious Stonewine range takes shape, embodying the essence of the land. At the heart of Balla Geza Winery is its namesake, Mr. Balla Geza, both owner and accomplished winemaker. His life has been a journey dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in winemaking. Beyond the vineyards, Mr. Geza has shared his extensive knowledge and passion as a lecturer at the University of Horticulture in Targu Mures.
