From the north, it seamlessly joins with the vineyards of Panciu and Odobesti, collectively known as the famous "Vrancene vineyards" or "Putnene." Archaeological finds in the Cotesti vineyard reveal a rich history of viticulture dating back to the era of the local Geto-Dacians. Remnants discovered over the years confirm that communities in this area have been dedicated to winemaking since the 15th century.
