Oprisor Winery
Nestled in the rolling hills of Oltenia, on the historic lands of Valea Drincei, Oprisor Wineries is a place where tradition, nature, and craftsmanship intertwine. The region’s winemaking heritage dates back to the 15th century, when local vineyards were prized by noble families and even the ruling prince Constantin Brancoveanu. Centuries later, this land remains devoted to the art of wine, now under a modern vision that respects its deep roots. With 252 hectares of sun-kissed vineyards, Oprisor cultivates both international and indigenous grape varieties, allowing the terroir to fully express itself. Each harvest is carefully transformed into wines that capture the character of the region—wines with depth, structure, and an unmistakable sense of place. The winery boasts a fermentation capacity of 1.5 million liters per year, with select wines maturing in 600 oak barrels, where they gain complexity and refinement. Every bottle carries the essence of Oprisor’s landscape—untamed yet balanced, powerful yet elegant. More than a winery, Oprisor Wineries is a storyteller, revealing through its wines the spirit of Oltenia: bold, expressive, and deeply authentic.
