The Flamboyant wine produced by Davino is emblematic for the producer from Dealu Mare and also for the Romanian wine industry. The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon that has subtle and delicate notes offered by the other two wines, Feteasca Neagra and Merlot. It is produced by selectively harvesting the grapes from the most valuable plots of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Feteasca Neagra, with the vines having an average age of around 37 to 40 years. 100% aged in Romanian oak barrels for 18 months. The most valuable barrels compete in the blend, with the participation percentages of each variety being as follows: Cabernet Sauvignon 70%, Merlot 20%, and Feteasca Neagra 10%.
Complex, elegant, persistent and intense, with shades of black fruits, green walnut core, pepper, coffee and tobacco.
Complex and expressive, plentiful, powerful but round. Development on a long slope, with a mild spicy residual aftertaste, which highlights fine and complex tannins.
