Dagon Clan Winery
Dagon Clan is a boutique winery located in Urlați, within Romania’s acclaimed Dealu Mare vineyard area (DOC Dealu Mare), known for its sun-drenched slopes and expressive reds. Founded in 2014 by Mihnea and Mara Vasilache, the estate reflects a bold, minimal-intervention philosophy and respect for traditional viticulture. The estate comprises 7.1 hectares planted on sandy and calcareous soils. The region’s temperate-continental climate supports native Romanian varieties like Feteasca Neagra, Feteasca Alba, and Feteasca Regala, alongside international grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, and Sauvignon Blanc. The winery’s portfolio is crafted through spontaneous fermentation and minimal filtering, producing expressive, artisanal wines with a strong sense of place.
Winemaking is led by Mihai Ratulea, with international consulting by Mark Haisma. Dagon Clan offers guided tastings by appointment and promotes wine tourism rooted in authenticity and simplicity.
