Crama de Piatra Winery
Crama de Piatra is a boutique winery located in Vadu Sapat, at the crossroads of Prahova and Buzau counties, in the heart of the Dealu Mare wine region. Originally built in 1912 by Italian craftsmen using local limestone, the winery was revitalized in 2018 by the Sandu family, who restored the cellar and mansion to their former glory. The estate cultivates 6 hectares of old vines aged between 40 and 85 years, growing Feteasca Neagra, Feteasca Alba, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Wines are produced in limited batches under the Boian and Aldavin labels, totaling around 30,000 liters per year, using traditional methods with minimal chemical intervention. Guests can enjoy wine tastings with artisanal cheeses, guided tours of the cellar, and accommodations in 11 elegant rooms, including 9 doubles and 2 suites. The restaurant and terrace, adorned with solid wood and ambient lighting, complete the refined and warm experience.
For those eager to explore, Crama de Piatra also offers off-road tours across the nearby hills with panoramic views over the Budureasca Valley.
