Boldly crafted at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, Carpathian Madeira Single Malt represents a new frontier in whisky making—Romania’s first single malt, distilled and aged with exceptional care. Produced from 100% Romanian malted barley and pure sub-Carpathian water, this whisky is double distilled at the Alexandrion Saber 1789 Distillery and matured under the guidance of renowned master distiller Allan Anderson.
Initially aged in charred first-fill American bourbon barrels and finished in hand-selected Portuguese Madeira casks, this expression is part of the Spanish and Portuguese Cask Collection. The result is a rich, copper-hued whisky with layered complexity and a signature Romanian character, perfectly balanced at 46% ABV.

When You Smell
A bold and expressive nose opens with notes of white pepper and oak, gently unfolding into layers of honey, raisins, and sweet candied fruits—evoking the warmth of Portuguese sun-kissed vineyards.
When You Taste
Smooth and inviting on the palate, the whisky offers flavors of golden honey, red grapes, juicy raisins, and ripe raspberries. A subtle nuttiness adds depth, while the Madeira finish delivers a sweet, lingering complexity that evolves with every sip.
