The Husi vineyard occupies a varied landscape within the Moldavia wine region, where hills, valleys and different elevations create a mosaic of growing conditions. The temperate continental climate varies across the vineyard, from more moderate conditions on the higher hills to a stronger continental influence within the Husi Depression. These contrasts contribute to the diversity and character of the wines produced here.
The vineyard is organised around several traditional wine-growing centres: Husi, Averesti, Vutcani, Murgeni and Bohotin. Each contributes its own landscape and growing conditions to the broader identity of the vineyard, creating a viticultural territory that stretches across one of the historically important wine-producing areas of eastern Romania.
Husi is particularly distinguished by two grape varieties intimately associated with this part of Moldavia. The aromatic Busuioaca de Bohotin produces distinctive perfumed wines and has become one of Romania's most recognisable native varieties, while Zghihara de Husi represents an even more specific expression of local viticultural heritage, its identity inseparable from the vineyard whose name it carries.
These local signatures grow alongside other traditional Romanian varieties such as Feteasca Alba, Feteasca Regala and Feteasca Neagra, as well as international grapes including Welschriesling, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. Together, they allow Husi to combine a strongly local identity with a diverse contemporary wine portfolio.
